Madison County, WE are in the FINAL stretch to file for candidacy 02/06/2026 @ NOON.

Madison County Indiana Election Deadline,

WE are in the FINAL stretch to file for candidacy 02/06/2026 @ NOON.

All forms are due Friday, February 6 at NOON.

One minute late = not accepted. Plan ahead.

Running for office can feel intimidating, but real change never happens without contested seats. Winning matters, but giving voters a choice matters just as much.

If we keep doing what we’ve always done and allowing what we’ve always allowed, we’ll keep getting the same results.

Two Republican seats MUST be contested:

Clerk and Treasurer.

Madison County does not have honest elections.

Clerk Linda Smith has repeatedly shown she will bend rules to protect political insiders. Why would we put her back in that seat? It is all on video!

The Treasurer controls the money. Follow it. We need someone honest, vocal, and willing to stand up for taxpayers.

No Republican seat in Madison County should go uncontested.

The only incumbent who deserves another term is District 1 County Councilwoman Bethany Keller.

She stands up for the people, demands transparency, and pushes back against bad decisions and she needs a 2nd person.

District 1 Commissioner is open.

Olivia Pratt is not running again.

Michael Garringer is seeking the seat.

Jonathan Culp has been out knocking on doors since July for this seat, he just has not filed.

Nepotism at it's finest! It is quite a pay raise from his seat as Councilmen from $14K to $50K with full benefits!

Madison County is a deep red county, which means Republican primaries decide who will hold office in 2027.

I said it in the primaries in 2024 and it most likely will be true again. But we will see how awake and honestly "pissed off" the voters are in Madison County!

WE must VOTE on competence and integrity, not popularity. Look where popularity contests have gotten us.

This is also a major year for Democrats all 112 Precinct Committee seats are open. These seats elect the party chair. If they go unfilled, the chair appoints them. That matters.

We need leaders with integrity, morals, ethics, and backbone, not people collecting paychecks, benefits, and a retirement.

Right now, the only officials consistently doing that are Bethany Keller and Surveyor Ken Kocinski.

I’ve shared the filing forms and official website. If you need help, reach out.

Stephanie Mae Stennis (D) has done the most to educate the public on caucuses and filing, including exposing that people were being wrongfully charged for notary services. That alone proves why transparency matters.

Those who run, lose, and run again deserve respect. That takes courage. It should never be mocked or dismissed.

And let’s be honest, challenges, intimidation, and removals will happen before names even reach the ballot. Concerns raised against outsiders are ignored when they involve insiders. That is not equal justice.

If you don’t want to run, educate others and register voters.

It takes about 90 seconds: indianavoters.com

Lastly, there has been no coverage of the Lapel caucus on February 2, 2026 at 5 PM at Town Hall. It’s a closed meeting, once again shutting the public out, despite five Republicans contesting the seat. Where is the transparency?

All eyes will be on Republicans SC1 Jim Bauer, SC2 Dan Paddock and Green1 Greg Valentine, to Caucus in the most qualified candidate! And to be honest, the only candidate who has "Shown up" at the last 90% of meetings, for over 6 years, raises questions and concerns, holds elected officials responsible, writes up meeting concerns for the public, places the meeting on live video and more is Kristi Worthman. Yes, I am aware of the other 4 candidates, but where have they been?

Madison County deserves better.

But nothing changes unless we demand it and step up.

I imagine GOP chair Kelli Heuer will be bringing her husband out for District 3, this behavior needs to stop but we have to have candidates run!
